Certifications and regulations

With the aim of complying as fully as possible with clients’ requests and with people and environmental standards, a project for the analysis and monitoring of the quality and safety of all products handled by Pasasport has recently been implemented.

The project, coordinated by an expert chemist within the company, has been developed by a team of high qualified external consultants and professionals, who have launched a training course for all Pasasport personnel.
Specific terms have been drawn upto exclude the presence of harmful substances, which will be used as a reference as for all our external suppliers and sub-suppliers.In order to guarantee ongoing controls, random tests on supplies and materials from the Far East will be carried out at a well known chemical analysis laboratory specialised in textile materials and finishes.

In addition to certification, we can meet several OEKO-TEX® parameters in accordance with REACH regulations for introduction onto the European Union market, and we are constantly working on research and certification of eco-friendly materials and treatments.

As regards social responsibility, by signing specific codes of conduct, we are committed to the respect and human progress of all people involved in processing our products.

That is why our partners in the People’s Republic of China have obtained BSCI certification, and are obliged to fully comply with all inspections as requested by the FWF (Fair Wear Foundation).

At our company, policies for reconciling work-family schedules have also been implemented, for which we are also participating in a local Chamber of Commerce project

In order to check and improve the performance of our cycling products, we have launched the Winter 12-13 season with an independent testing programme on sampled products, according to the following steps:

  1. Function and resistance: Our testers, specially selected for the high frequency of their rides even in inclement weather conditions, test out our products and record their impressions on reports for assessing comfort, wearability, durability and overall function. The reports and the garments used are filed and analysed by the product office prior to production, so that any corrective actions can be taken, and to obtainideas for better future creations.
  2. Maintenance standards: Preliminary washing tests are carried out to check the reaction of fabrics and personalisations.
